Mark your Calendar: It’s time for the annual “Babes On The Waves” run on the Pigeon River! Once again, we will be staggering an upper run (class III+) and lower run (class II).

Once a year all the female APE-ets come together to paddle. All are welcome, even men who don’t want to be left out. But it’s our day, and we want to get as many female paddlers out on the water as we can! So all you gals plan to join us on the water!

LOWER: The lower group leader is Debbie Briscoe. Paddlers will meet up at Nantahala Outdoor Center’s Pigeon River Outpost. Meetup time is noon. Address: 3485 Hartford Rd., Hartford, TN 37753.

UPPER: Trip upper trip leaders are: Deana Gates & James Burleson. Paddlers will meet at the takeout near the bridge at 10:30 a.m. Park in the field beside Smoky Mtn. River Rat, 3630 Hartford Rd, Hartford TN 37753.
